Peace March in Washington DC October 25th
We anticipate a route similar to the 18 January and 15 March trips - Leave Gulfport on Friday morning, including riders from New Orleans and Mobile, with possible stops in Hattiesburg and Meridian, and Tuscaloosa and Birmingham AL. Ride all night and arrive in Washington at the scheduled time to start the march, then back on the bus with a meal stop outside Washington, ride all night, and drop off Sunday afternoon. More precise schedule and pickup locations will be available when the time comes.

Fostering Alternatives to Violence Conference at Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA October 9-12
The Peace & Justice Studies Association Annual Conference will focus on the tireless work of people around the country to foster alternatives to violence in our homes, schools, communities and in the national and international arenas. We will critically examine efforts to understand and uproot both physical and structural violence by paying attention to militarism, poverty, racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of social injustice and inequality.
